In order to remain “cutting edge” one must partake in continuing education. In July 2010 the co-founders of Blended Spirits Ranch, Debbie Ellis and Sandy Long, journeyed to Elgin, Illinois to attend a seminar taught by Mr. Greg Kersten, the founder of EAP (Equine Assisted Psychotherapy).

After intense training with Mr. Kersten, Debbie and Sandy emerged with a certification in EAP with a focus on working with War Veterans.

“I can’t tell you how incredible it was to be taught by the man who actually founded Equine Assisted Psychotherapy!”, says Sandy. “Mr. Kersten was engaging and very well spoken and a wonderful teacher. He is truly an inspiration and a man of total integrity. We were blessed to be able to learn about Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Mr. Kersten’s techniques. We will be offering a new program to War Veterans and their families in the very near future.”
Blended Spirits Ranch is committed to helping as many people as possible through all walks of life, using their specially trained horses and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Learning techniques.
